From the moment I wake up to the moment I lay to bed, my family’s furry felines are always beside me all the time, mostly because they just really enjoy my petting skills (I think). Having cats is sort of like a mix of a chore and a relaxing time. When there are times I’m worried or stressing about on certain things, the cats literally force me to stay in bed and just watch tv with them. I feel like they’re just telling me subconsciously to just let things go, and I kinda like it.
I don’t know why, but the cats here are attracted to me the most. My aunt’s cat came over the other day, and it would go for me more than her owner. Maybe I’ve found my inner cat whisperer, who knows?
The cats were quite territorial at first, not accepting my aunt’s cat immediately. I felt bad for her at the start since she barely got out because of it. But, the more she went, the closer she became with them. Until that one moment recently where all of them just had this “general assembly” to watch a moth on the wall. Such a heartwarming moment I have to say…
Stray cats are also pretty common here, so a lot come by outside. Most of them do run away, but some would meow at us for food. There’s this one cat that just hugs every object and person she sees. Every pole, every leg, she would curl up to them. I can’t deny that they’re just so damn cute!
On a slightly similar side note, cats are pretty much everywhere on the internet. I personally believe they are the foundation of the internet itself, and that it is made just for the sake of cat videos (the others are just byproducts). The videos online just highlight the goofiness and cuteness of cats. Now that I’m dropping some social medias, I think cat videos are the next addiction I’m going to have.
…maybe history also had a lot to do with cats, with the sphinx and all…
And so yeah, aside from the slight feeling that the cat owns me more than I own them (and their fur that is pretty much everywhere in the house by now T-T) they are indeed pretty cool furry people. Probably like 8.5/10.
